"They too wonder about the nature of existence, where they've come from and where they're going to and how much time they have."

So what and where is Faerie, exactly?
"Faerie" is a word that other folks use for our realm. We, fae, have other names for home, the most common and more formal being The City of Everlasting Change, and the less formal– Change Lands or Lands of Change.

Faerie is not another planet, but another realm, that sits parallel beside our own earthly plane. The connection between Faerie and Earth is shared in a sense and Faerie is a seemingly large place on its own. Even though there are places in Faerie that overlap within territories in no way are "right next door"– oh no, thousands and thousands of miles away from one another. There are also tons of places that I've never seen/had described, heard about, or even know the names of.
Faerie to my knowledge and understanding, holds no physicality even though in lore we perceive it to have physical substance or dimension. Faerie is a etheric/otherworldly-spiritual realm. That doesn't mean that things do not appear physical! :)
Even though the realm of Faerie is a standalone place, there are a myriad of 'very faery' spots here on Earth known pickpockets, or at least that is what some fae refer to them as– as do I. Pickpockets are designated areas or regions bountiful with or prone to fae activity and residence. Which is why one can understandably "Walk into Faerie", what you are walking into is an active fae area, not Faerie. Pickpockets are not limited to Earth, but can be found in elven lands and in the astral plane. Some pickpockets are in forests, under the sea, in caves, mountains, cavernous areas, urban cities, rural cities, even deserts.

Some Places in Faerie
…these are just some of the more well known places that I can easily recall, in no particular order…
– Autumn Court Citadel – The Forest of Night (this Forest is also apart of Unseelie Territory) – The Damask Fields (fields of velvety pink flowers and light red bushes) – the Badlands
– Seelie Court Castle – the Silver Under Hills – Triple Meadows of Our Court
– The Dewy Patch/Gardens – Spring Court Citadel – more forests, I believe they're just called Faerie Woods – Cloud Lake (huge lake, not sure why it is called Cloud Lake) |
– Faerie Woods – Summer Court Fortress – Summer Red Mountains – Lone Road (which leads to some kind of badland/desert)
– River of Time – Unseelie Court Castle – the Badlands – Pebble Caves of the Unblessed/Unseelie
– Wild Woods – Emerald Mountains – sand dunes
– White Gardens – Glass Lake – Winter Court Fortress – Sleeping Forest |

This is one area in Faerie that I myself have had several dream visions of, and that Sgian has visited from time to time through his travels back to Faerie.
This forest for some reason perpetuates a nighttime cloak regardless of the time of day in Faerie. It is a very, very dark forest with seldom light besides moonlight and the gleams of twilight and sparkle from the trees. Why these trees give off light, I am unsure but it is awfully pretty.
To the right is my attempt at a visual of The Forest of Night. Don't they look like stars in the trees? Some of the trees there look like aspen, conifers, elderberry, juniper, and evergreen trees.
