Mortal who has danced with the fae,
has seen the danger and delight with glee,
and entered a realm and lost their way,
will soon find what used to be.

Time is very different in Faerie. It is also kind of difficult to understand so I will try to produce an overview that is understandable.
A Different Time
Time in Faerie is erratic, I would say. It seemingly passes much slower than here on Earth. Nothing in Faerie is static. (Static and erratic, savvy?) Fae do indeed age and can die.
Fae aging is very different than humans aging. I'll use Mr. Sgian as an example, he's a little over 3,000 years old in fae years, but would appear to be in his late twenties. That's because of how slow the ageing process of fae is and just having really longer lives compared to humans, and they tend not to care much about time to begin with. However, it is something that is prevalent there... even it is shrugged off.
When a human visits Faerie one does not biologically/physically age (although you might mentally but that is neither here nor there). Yes, it is exactly like when one goes to Narnia or Mordor.. but one does not simply walk into Mordor. *hee hee *
Below is best of my ability at a compare and contrast chart of the time differences on Earth and in Faerie, it is really confusing but, keep in mind sometimes the Fae can adjust this rule:
