• Metaphysical Abilities: Botanical Empath/Telepath •
Note: While I take into consideration that others may find this weird or trite, even unbelievable. It is very, very real for me. In some sense, they are related to my kintype, but correlation is not always causation. Please respect that.
When I hug a tree it is my way of giving affection. (I hug trees… I am weird. Sorry, but not sorry.) Trees need love too, you know? The energy that bounces off that embrace is comforting. Once that level of comfort has been established between both energies, I am confident that my communication has reached out to that tree.
As a botanic empath and telepath i.e. being able to synchronously understand the emotional responses and perceptions of feeling, and thoughts given by these life forms mentally and through touch. However, if it is a tree that I am particularly familiar with it then it is simply like talking to an old friend and close proximity is suffice for tree-to-being communication. In most scientific reasoning sentient beings– but let's just use human for simplicity, and plants have very little in common... but both have the ability for telepathy. Plants and humans are surrounded by a magnetic field; this is a common ground (pun intended). In my experience, different trees have various speech patterns, tones, and speeds at which one are able to understand them. I've found that oak, maple, spruce, and evergreens tend to be the most talkative. Trees do operate at a much slower pace, as they are not the saplings they used to be. They follow a solar schedule and are more alert when the sun is at its highest until dusk and calm around night until dawn. My favorite times to talk to them are in the late afternoon and at dusk.
I will try my best to transcribe what happens to me when communication occurs. When I talk to the tree it is neither with words nor sentence fragments but through direct or abstract thoughts and mental pictures. What is going on? Millions electronic impulses are being synapsed either outside or inside the brain when the talking occurs, but that is just my hypothesis. What I think as the gist of things when it comes to explaining my own experiences: there are certain people who have energies of similar vibrations are the ones most likely to this type of telepathy. Most telepathic occurrences have happened WITHOUT either participant consciously trying to communicate with the other. It was usually something that one was going through and the other "picked up" by 'feeling' or 'seeing'. For one to further develop their telepathic abilities, strong concentration and meditation to the spiritual, mental, and emotional levels are needed.

A question to those who want to know how trees think and feel and how exactly do they process what they sense?
Plants and trees do in fact, have a different type of sensory system and they can feel pain and stress even though, ultimately, a plant has no nerves. There are electrical signals that pass through a plant. A high volt-charge (i.e. the reception of pain) races down the plant's stem that passes through the same small tubes as its sap. It surges forward like a human nerve signal but at a much slower pace.
For example if you take a lighter and burn their edges or eye-drop small doses of an acid to the leaf, those responses are pulsed through that plant's/tree's interconnectedness. I do think that maybe there is a gate control theory of pain for them. I would have to look into that~ some sort of tolerance or coping mechanism.
